From Johannesburg
Take Exit 86 off N3 highway, and then follow main road into Pietermaritzburg. Drive for approximately 3km from highway, and at the 2nd set of traffic lights turn left into George MacFarlane Lane. Travel through Bamboo Avenue and Briar Ghyll Lodge is situated at the end of the driveway.
From Durban
Take the Armitage Road turn-off and keep on the left hand side of the highway. At the circle bear off at Hyslop Road and then at the T-junction turn right into Howick Road. At the traffic lights turn right into George MacFarlane Lane. Travel through Bamboo Avenue and Briar Ghyll Lodge is situated at the end of the driveway.
From Pietermaritzburg City Centre
Travelling from the centre of Pietermatizburg, drive down Commercial Road, which becomes Howick Road. Then turn right into George MacFarlane Lane. Travel through Bamboo Avenue and Briar Ghyll Lodge is situated at the end of the driveway.
From Pietermaritzburg Msunduze Airport
Leave the airport and then turn right towards the city. Travel for approximately 3km (pass 5 sets of traffic lights) and then turn left into Alan Paton Road. Travel for another 4.5km and Alan Paton Road becomes Chief Albert Luthuli Road, which becomes Howick Road. At the traffic lights turn right into George MacFarlane Lane. Travel through Bamboo Avenue and Briar Ghyll Lodge is situated at the end of the driveway.
