Take N1 North towards Paarl. Take Exit 47, R44 Klapmuts, Stellenbosch. Turn right at the end of the ramp and travel for 0,6km. Under Highway to 4-way stop. Cross over the 4-way stop travel for 0,5km. Left at next road sign will say Franschhoek (R45). Travel for 8,6km (Pass Glen Carlou, Backsberg, Cowlin, Drakensig and Rupert & Rothschild Wine Estates). Just before railway crossing and T-junction, turn right onto private tar road, through gates of Vrede en Lust Wine Estate. Follow the tar road for 2.4km to Cathbert Country Inn.
