Terms and Conditions

Deposit Fees

50% deposit is required on confirmation of booking to secure. Balance of payment due on arrival.

Check-In / Check-out

Check in is from 14h00 but before 9pm Monday - Friday and 6pm on weekends.
Checkout is 10h00 am

We do not offer 24 hour check in. The guest house is 'Closed to Check-in' after 9pm without exception and deposit will be forfeited.

Payment Method

Direct deposit, EFT (internet transfer), Cash or Credit Card

Cancellation Policy

50% of deposit will be withheld for cancellation 21 days prior to arrival.
75% of deposit will be withheld for cancellation 14 days prior to arrival.
100% of deposit will be withheld for cancellation 7 days prior to arrival or or in the event of a no-show.

The guest house reserves the right to change any arrangement where necessary, e.g. changes in local conditions or circumstances beyond our control. Guest in these cases shall be entitled to a full refund of their deposit.

Damages Surety

The guest will be responsible for any damages or loss caused by himself or his party and this will be charged to the final account to be paid on departure. If anything is broken upon receiving the key please notify reception immediately.

Swimming Pool

Use of the pool is at your own risk. No kids under the age of 16 allowed at the pool without adult supervision. Kids under the age of 6 must wear safety devices at all times.

Pets

No pets are allowed.

Smoking

Please note that this is a non smoking establishment as per law smoking is only allowed outdoors in designated areas. Please make use of the ashtrays provided and not the pot plants or garden.

Cleaning

Daily done by management. The Guest is responsible for the condition of the room and its entire contents during the accommodation period, fair wear and tear accepted. If you are staying longer than one night please fill in the form in your room and hand it in at reception.

Indemnity

The management shall not be liable for, and the Guest waives/abandons any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage against the management, whether arising from the management's default, negligence or otherwise.

Visitors

No visitors of guests are allowed in the rooms or to stay the night. Please make reception aware if visitors do come over for business purpose only. This ensures your safety and the safety of our other guests. Penalty charges will be enforced if not abide by this rule. No Visitors of guests may park their vehicles inside the property. Parking for guests only.

Noise

Please consider our other guests regarding noise. All guests deserve a good night's sleep and any complaints will be dealt with immediately.

Disclaimer

All persons enter and dwell in the premises of 24 Michael Street, Rhodesdene, Kimberley at their own risk. The guest house, respective members, employees, representatives (hereinafter jointly and severally referred to as the 'company') do not accept any responsibility for any injury to any person, or loss of damage to property, regardless whether such injury, loss or damage results from the negligence of the company or from any other cause whatsoever.

Any person's accompanying or in control of a minor or a person with limited capacity indemnifies (where more than one person, jointly and severally) the company against any claim by such minor or person arising from or in connection with his/her presence in the premises, including specifically without being limited thereto. From N12 (Johannesburg)

You will enter Kimberley on Transvaal Road. At the fourth traffic light on the corner of Jones and Lennox, turn right. Head over three more traffic lights until you see the Microwave Tower on you left, take the slipway and turn into Carters Road. Turn into the second street right which is Michael Street, and you will find us at No. 24.

From N12 (Cape Town)

The first light you will get entering Kimberley is the MacDougall and Memorial Crossing. Turn left into MacDougall Street. At the first stop street turn right and head straight. At the next stop street turn left into Jacobus Smith Road. You will get to a 3-way stop sign, turn right and head up straight until you get to Pick 'n Pay Rhodesdene on your left hand side. Go over the 4-way crossing of Cronin and Carters Road. At the next stop street turn right into Michael Street, and you will find us at No. 24.

From the R357

Enter Kimberley on Carters Road. At the second 4-way stop street you will find Pick 'n Pay centre. Turn right into Selous Street. At the next stop street turn right into Michael Street, and you will find us at No. 24.

From the N8 (Schmidtsdrift)

Enter Kimberley on Schmidtsdrift road. At the second traffic light turn into Carters Road. Turn into the second road right which is Michael Street, and you will find us at No. 24.

From N8 (Bloemfontein)

Enter Kimberley on Oliver Road, head up to the traffic circle. Take the second exit around on Dalham Road. Keep straight until you get to the Bultfontein Road and Long Street crossing. Turn right at this crossing into Long Street. Head over 4 traffic lights until you pass the Microwafe Tower. Take the slipway right. Turn into the second street right which is Michael Street, and you will find us at No. 24.
