Take the N1 from Pretoria to Polokwane (Pietersburg). There are three tollgates to take into consideration. The first, one is Pumulanie Tollgate, the second one is the Carousel Tollgate and the third one is Kranskop Tollgate. At the third tollgate (Kranskop Plaza) use the left gate and proceed on the R33 to Modimolle (Nylstroom). Go straight through Modimolle (Nylstroom) towards Vaalwater. This is about 60km.
Pass straight through Vaalwater and do not turn off anywhere. Please do not take the right turn (R33) to Lephalale (Ellisras) at the Spar Supermarket / Total Garage, keep straight on the Thabazimbi road. Please do not take the Bakkerspas (Welgevonden South Gate) turn-off, keep going straight on the Thabazimbi road. Please do not take the Welgevonden East Gate turn-off, keep on going on the Thabazimbi road.
Welgevonden Main Gate will be on your left hand side coming from Vaalwater. The Welgevonden Main Gate is approximately 25km, 15 min from Vaalwater. Look out for the tourist information board on your left hand side informing you about the Welgevonden Main Gate. The total kilometres from Pretoria is approximately 210km. It is between 2 - 3 hours driving from Johannesburg.

Booking and Payment Details
Reservations are confirmed when in writing via fax / email and all bookings require a 50% deposit within 7 days. Final confirmation of booking is only made on receipt of above-mentioned payment. Full prepayment is due within 4 weeks prior to guests' arrival. Short term bookings: Full payment 14 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Should the reservation be cancelled:
More than six weeks prior to travel - An admin fee of R100 will be charged. Between six and four weeks of arrival - 25% of the total amount will be forfeited. Within four and two weeks of arrival - 50% of the total amount will be forfeited. Less than 14 days of arrival - 100% of the total amount will be forfeited.
