An occupier of any room or cottage shall not allow the generation of noise of whatsoever kind within or outside their room or cottage which has the effect of disturbing any other occupier at "The Homestead".
Guests are responsible for all breakages, shortages or loss occurring during their stay to any linen, furniture, effects and fittings in their room / cottage or caused by them in and about "The Hometsead Guest Lodge".
If self catering please remember to bring all items for washing up (dishwashing liquid and dish clothes).
A deposit of R200 is payable on arrival and is refundable less any cost of breakages.
Cancellation Policy
A charge of R100 per room levied on cancellation,at all times. 25 % of total cost of stay is charged if cancelled 30 to 60 days before arrival date. 50 % of total cost of stay is charged if cancelled 15 to 30 days before arrival date. 100 % of total cost of stay is charged if cancelled 1 to 15 days before arrival date. If cancelled less than 15 days before date of arrival no refund of deposit.
NB. If rooms are re-let a refund may be made.

NB: We do not advise that you use GPS Co-ordinates to come to us as they may take you on a bad road. From Johannesburg
Travel down the N3 as far as Harrismith, and then take the road to Bethlehem at the far side of Harrismith.Travel for approximately 4km and you will see a sign for R74 to Bergville, Olivershoek Pass and Qwaqwa.Turn left towards Olivershoek Pass and Bergville. Travel a further 8.5kms then turn left to Olivershoek Pass and Bergville. You will now be travelling on the R74, pass Sterkfontein Dam and go down Olivershoek Pass, with its panoramic view of the Drakensberg and Woodstock Dam. Approximately 50m, just before Bergville, turn left onto the R616 to Ladysmith. You will travel for approximately 2km to the top of the first hill and then turn left. You are now going to travel 26km.The first 6km are on tar and the next 20km are on gravel. When the road changes to tar again you are in the village of Geluksburg. Take the first left turn, and travel 400m and The Homestead is a large Elizabethan type building on your right. From Durban
Travel up the N3, drive past the Escourt Ultra City Petrol Stop. 4 kms after this garage,you will see a left turning to Bergville and Colenso (EXIT 194), take this left turn and go to Bergville. You will now be travelling on the R74, drive straight through Winterton to Bergville. 50m after Bergville you will see a right turning to Ladysmith (R616).Turn right and travel for approximately 2km to the top of the first hill then turn left. Here you will see a sign for Geluksburg and The Homestead. You will travel over 6km of tar road and then the road becomes gravel for 20km. As you come into the village the road becomes tar again and then take the first turning to your left. Travel along this road for 200m and The Homestead is a large Elizabethan type building on your right.
