From Durban

From the Durban Airport drive towards Durban until you get to the Pietermaritzburg / Johannesburg turn-off to the right onto the N3. Stay on the N3 and drive through Pietermaritzburg and some 50km later through the toll gate at Mooi River. About 35km later, after Mooi River take the highway Exit 179 towards "Central Berg" to the left towards Loskop and drive carefully for the next 35km through a Zulu area, (goats, cows, children, taxis), until you come to the Route R600 and turn there at "Thokosiza" to the left into the Champagne Valley. 5km later you will find The Nest Hotel on the right hand side.

From Johannesburg International Airport (Driving distance is 400km driving time is 4hrs)

Leave Johannesburg Airport on the R24 towards Johannesburg and flow towards the left into the N12 some 13km later, staying in the second to left lane. Some 3km later follow the signs to the N3 - Durban / Kimberly to the left on this four lane highway. Some 23km later, and past the large cement works (PPC) concrete silos on your right, you must keep to the left of the highway going towards Durban. The Nest Hotel is located 40km, well after Heidelberg which is notorious for very strict speed enforcement (120km/h.) and camera fines.

Travel on to Villiers, Warden, Harrismith, up and down Van Reenen pass and 16km after the Tugela plaza toll gate turn to the left, away from the mountains towards Ladysmith and "Central Berg". Some 5km later, take a sharp right turn onto the R600 towards Spionkop and to Winterton (60km). As you get over a bridge and into Winterton, you must turn right over a level rail crossing and bridge towards "Central Berg", still on the R600. Follow the R600 for some 14km to a stop street. Cross over into the Champagne Valley, (R600), some 5km later you will find The Nest Hotel on the right hand side.
